Born on June 15, 1954 in Pavlodar city.

In 1976 he graduated from the Pavlodar Industrial Institute, constructing engineer by profession. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Academician of the Mineral Resources Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

1976 to 1981 - Master of House Building Trust Factory “Pavlodarzhilstroy”;

1981 to 1983 - Instructor of Ekibastuz City Committee of the CPSU;

1983 to 1987 - Deputy chief engineer, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Ekibastuzshahstroy Plant;

1987 to 1991 - Vice chairman of Ekibastuz City Executive Committee;

1991 to 1992 - Manager of Ekibastuzenergozhilpromstroy trust;

1992 to 1993 - Head Ekibastuz city administration;

1993 to 1997 - Head of Administration, Akim of Pavlodar Region;

12.1997 to 10.1999 – Akim of North-Kazakhstan Region;

October, 1999 to December  21,  2000 - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

December  21,  2000  to November 21, 2001 - First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

November 21, 2001 to June 13, 2003 – Akim of Pavlodar Region;

June 13, 2003 to January 8, 2007 - Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

January 10, 2007 to June 17, 2009 - Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

From December, 2010 - Head of Environmental Energy Company;

2012 to 11.2014 - Minister of Energy and Infrastructure – a Member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission;

On November 11, 2014 is appointed Akim of East Kazakhstan Region.

He was born on April 25, 1957 in Balkhash town, Karaganda region.

He went for athletics in the Youth Sports School in Balkhash since September 1966. He was a repeated winner and prize-winner of republican and All-Union competitions among youth and juniors.

In 1973, moved to Alma-Ata in order to prepare for the All-Union Spartakiada of schoolchildren, studied at the Republican boarding school for sports.

In 1974 he entered the Kazakh State Institute of Physical Culture, which he graduated in 1978 with highest distinction. In the years 1974-78 was a member of the team of the All-Union Sports Society "Burevestnik". In the 1978-1980 - the Soviet Army service, in the sports company SKA-12.

Because of a severe trauma, he stopped active athletics.

In the years 1980 - 1991 worked as a senior coach for the reserve, and then the senior trainer of the society "Enbek" and VSS (Voluntary Sports Society) of trade unions of Kazakhstan.

From 1991 - 2016 was elected at the Republican conferences as the General Secretary and Vice-President of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since December 2016, to the present time, he has been elected Vice-President of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2005, at the Congress of the Asian Association, he was elected a member of the AAA Council, in 2013 elected and, in 2015, re-elected Vice-President of the Asian Association.

He is the head of the organizational and competition committee of the AAA and a member of the Technical Committee.

Since 2015 he is a member of the Development Commission of the IAAF.

In 2009, at the suggestion of the Asian Association, he was awarded the "IAAF Badge of Honor ", for his achievements in the development of track and field athletics on the continent.

In Kazakhstan, awarded the title of "Honored sportsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "Honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

The best Egorov's result of is the officially recognized Asian record of Asia - 5.90. For 24 yers the record has not been broken.

Grigory Egorov completed his professional career after performing in the Olympics, Athens 2004, but for a while he continued to compete among veterans.

In January 2007, in his age group, he set a world record among veterans - 5.20 m, 2 cm surpassing the achievement of American Earl Bell (bronze medalist of the 1984 Olympics).

After the end of the sports career, Yegorov took part in the training process of another Olympic winner in pole vaulting Dmitry Karpov

Since 2009, he was a sports director in the sports and tourist complex in Spain.
